In the context of Open Access (OA) Resources, there has always been a widespread assumption that OA violates copyright law. It seems that the struggle is probably more against the perception, not the reality; to the extent that, it is often felt that to get rid off infringement has been comparatively easier than steering clear of this assumption! But, now, due to the enhanced knowledge of OA and relevant copyright issues, more and more authors started to either publish in Open Access journals directly or to self-archive in repositories. This allows the author to post his/her articles in an institutional repository as well as use the same for teaching and delivering in classroom presentations. Some renowned publishing houses e.g. Blackwell and Springer also felt the need and started allowing more and more OA options and self-archiving of articles published in their journals.
